071 // Dr. Marc Arazi – The Phonegate Scandal: Your Phone Is NOT Safe

Think the “Dieselgate” was bad, and revolting? Wait until you hear all about the “Phonegate” – how BILLIONS of people have been overexposed to levels of phone radiation we know are dangerous for users…

In this episode, Nick hears the entire story from Dr. Marc Arazi, who launched the alert more than 6 years ago. Dr. Arazi’s efforts have led to more than 30 different phone models that were over-exposing being updated or removed from the market entirely – but it’s just the tip of the “Phonegate” iceberg.

Discussed during this episode:

  • How Dr. Arazi ended up launching the alert to the effect that most cell phones emit multiple times more radiation than the regulatory limit, when used ON the body – and not with the bogus separation they use in testing
  • How glioblastoma cases have increased rapidly in France and the UK in the last few decades, and how phone radiation may be part of the culprits for countless deaths
  • Why you should NEVER keep a phone in your pocket, or right on your body (shirt pocket, yoga pants, bra, etc.)
  • How the tech industry is responding to the Phonegate alert, and how a lot of engineers and industry insiders are now following their newsletter…

    1. Hey, the SAR for airpods are within the safety guidelines (https://fccid.io/BCG-A2084/RF-Exposure-Info/12681939-S1V2-FCC-Report-SAR-4475947) according to the manufacturer. I would not trust these results considering the on-going scandal going on which identified that the vast majority of phones went over the SAR limit when tested without separation (sometimes up to 11X the limit) – check out https://phonegatealert.org/en/

Anyhow, even if the results are valid, the “SAR” testing is not a great way to assess safety, since it only looks at the heating effects of this radiation, not the biological effects including oxidative stress.

The truth is, we simply do not know what dose of Airpods radiation the body can handle. Therefore, prudent avoidance or minimizing time of use is recommended.
