FREE WORLDWIDE PREMIERE | MAY 25 TO JUNE 1

What if your brain fog, low energy, digestive problems, or autoimmunity aren’t “just getting older”?

We all know our world is becoming more toxic. Few people know there’s an entire branch of medicine that has spent the last 50 years figuring out what to do about it.

What is Body Burden?

Body Burden Definition

If you’re here reading this page, you already know that things are bad. Really bad.

Babies are born with a growing body burden of chemicals linked to serious health problems, including dioxin, methylmercury, PCBs, DDE and many others.1

Worldwide, 1,000 new chemicals are synthesized every single hour – 10 million new chemicals per year. (NOT a typo – see the source) 2

Approximately 47% of U.S. homes have dampness or mold problems, according to EPA indoor environment specialists 3

And to make matters worse, our global exposure to electro-pollution (“EMFs”) is also steadily increasing – from cell phones, 4G & 5G cell towers, Wi-Fi routers, and even global satellites. It’s likely that this constant EMF bombardment makes our ability to handle any other environmental toxin even worse… and acts in a pernicious toxic synergy. 4

The Email That Started This Investigation...

My name is Nicolas Pineault, and I’ve been investigating environmental toxins as a citizen journalist for over 16 years.

We all know that our environment has become toxic. What that actually means is rarely spelled out. Every day, our bodies absorb more chemicals than they were ever built to handle. The toxic burden builds. Year after year. And no one ever taught us what to do about it.

Then I received an email from a colleague that pointed me toward an answer.

Body Burden Email

She told me about an environmental medicine clinic in South Carolina, where doctors were quietly getting results with patients the rest of medicine had given up on. People with chronic illnesses long dismissed as “imaginary” or “incurable” were getting their lives back. War veterans exposed to toxins during deployment. Mothers who suddenly couldn’t tolerate perfume or cleaning chemicals. Teenagers getting sick from mold in their dorm rooms. People reacting to cell phones and Wi-Fi.

These doctors weren’t selling a magic pill. Their work was something far more interesting.

Their entire focus was on reducing their patients’ Body Burden of environmental toxins, using detoxification protocols this field has been refining since the 1970s.

I had to see this for myself. In September of 2024, I flew from Montreal to Charleston, South Carolina, with a camera crew, to document the work of these doctors and experience it firsthand.

I went to document what was happening to other people’s bodies. I ended up documenting what was happening to mine.

My Own Body Burden Was Worse Than I Imagined...

Nick Spartan

The doctors suggested I run the same panel of tests they run on every patient who walks into their clinic. I figured it would make a good moment in the film, a journalist putting himself in the patient’s chair.

I did not expect what came back.

I thought I was healthy. At 37, I was an amateur athlete with low body fat. I ate mostly organic. I had been studying environmental toxins for years. The brain fog, fatigue, and digestive issues I’d been dealing with felt minor enough to dismiss.

Then the lab numbers came in.

Heavy Metals in urine:

Lead: 38 μg/g creatinine. 34X over the reference range.

Mercury: 23 μg/g creatinine. 29X over the reference range.

Three different doctors told me my lead levels were the equivalent of what they would expect to see in a professional welder after a lifetime on the job. I have never welded anything in my life. And to this day, I have no idea where the exposure came from.

When I started applying some of the detoxification protocols you’ll see in this documentary, things began to shift quickly. Within months, the brain fog lifted. My energy returned. Issues I’d been carrying for years started to resolve. My ambition came back.

I realized how much my own toxic burden had been quietly weighing me down.

Meet the People Who Got Their Lives Back

Recovery stories. Everyday people. Documented in the film.

Brandon

Brandon

Brandon was only in his early 40s when his body started failing him. Through his work, he had been exposed to environmental toxins like lead, asbestos, and mercury for several years.

He gradually got worse until his brain fog and memory became so severe that he could barely type out an email or remember the names of close friends.

Within 2 to 3 months of applying the protocols he learned at the clinic, Brandon’s energy, cognition, and sense of youthfulness returned. Several years later, he continues to apply these detoxification strategies to keep his Body Burden as low as possible.

Ashley's Daughter, Ava

Ashley's Daughter, Ava

Ashley noticed her teenage daughter Ava was developing anxiety and unusual skin discoloration. One day, Ava passed out and developed a severe facial rash.

Testing at the clinic revealed Ava’s body was under immense stress from suspected mold illness. A subsequent home investigation found that Ava’s bedroom had 400% more mycotoxins than any other room in the house.

After cleaning up the home and following a specific detoxification protocol for mold illness, Ava slowly began recovering and was eventually able to overcome her symptoms completely.

Catherine

Catherine

Catherine started feeling dizzy all the time. The left side of her body went numb, and she rushed to the ER. All tests came back “normal,” and she was sent home. That night, she had her first panic attack.

It spiraled into insomnia and suicidal thoughts. She didn’t know how she would care for her four children in this state. She saw several neurologists and countless other doctors, but no one had answers.

When she finally got to the environmental medicine clinic, she learned her symptoms had multiple environmental causes, including toxin exposure that had accumulated in her body over time.

She cleaned up her home environment, installed water and air filtration, and began the detoxification protocols. Her symptoms resolved within weeks. Her children’s chronic eczema cleared at the same time.

"I LOVED YOUR FILM"

Amazing job Nick, I loved your film. Keep up the good work, and I am so pleased to see that you are feeling so brilliantly well. What a wonderfully uplifting, hopeful film and message. Very needed in these times.

Drs. Walter Crinnion and William Rea are two of the leading pioneers of modern environmental medicine.

Dr. Crinnion designed the environmental medicine programs taught at three universities and co-authored the field’s leading medical textbook in 2019.

Dr. Rea founded the Environmental Health Center in Dallas in 1974, treated more than 30,000 patients, and wrote the first major medical textbook on chemical sensitivity.

Everyone Deserves to Feel Good

I went down to Charleston as a journalist, with curiosity, expecting to make a film about other people’s bodies. I did not expect to find anything wrong with mine. Then the lab numbers came back, and the year that followed quietly changed every part of my life.

My drive came back. My ambition came back. The excitement I used to feel about my work and my own life came back. Things I had written off as “this is what getting older feels like” turned out to be something else entirely. I had been moving through life at half capacity for years and didn’t know it.

That is what turned this from a journalistic project into a personal one.

I have come to believe that every person can recover when they identify the root cause of what’s been making them sick. And every one of us should focus on lowering our Body Burden, not just to feel better, but to live closer to who we actually are.

Citizen journalist and producer,
Body Burden: The Toxins We Carry

You don’t need a special clinic to start. Many of the strategies environmental medicine has refined over 50 years are simple and don’t require expensive equipment. You can
begin where you are: by understanding what is actually in your body, by getting the good nutrients in, and by clearing the bad stuff out.

It is my hope that this documentary becomes a tool for something bigger. We need more clinics. More doctors trained in this work. More awareness that this branch of medicine exists. We have been poisoned for generations. The world needs more places people can go for answers.

That is why I made this film. For the people who deserve to feel like themselves again. And for the movement that is finally ready to grow.

With love,

Nick

"I really felt moved and inspired"

Nick, your documentary is sensational. The presentation itself is excellent, the info is amazing, and I really felt moved (even emotionally) and inspired with the information. It makes me all the prouder to be a part of your lone-voice-in-the-desert message that is growing in understanding and acceptance!
